#2 WHY SIT HERE TILL YOU DIE?
"You've always been concerned about the negative views of life, it's high time you started focusing on the positive outcomes that life as well offers - one of the things you've got to do is to kill the lion and see the so-called limitations a mirage as you take bold steps forward."
There was once a story of some lepers who were forced to live at the outskirts of the city, and the city at that time was experiencing a grievous famine in which people began to do things that were unimaginable to survive. The famine resulted from the enemy besieging them.
Then the lepers thought in themselves saying, "if we go back to the city, we will die because there's no food at all in the city; and if we go submit ourselves to the enemy in their camp, it's either we die by their swords or find favour in their sight and live but why sit we here till we die?"
These summoned courage and took the bold decision to go out to the enemy's camp, and then you know what?
At their arrival at the enemies' camp, they found no one; the enemies, for fear caused by illusion in hearing the noise of chariots coming to attack them by God, fled from their camp without taking the smallest piece of material.
So these lepers went inside tents and got themselves enough food to satisfy their hunger and also took spoils; thereafter, they went back to the city to share the good news, which was a deliverance to the whole city.
Now, what lesson is in here?
The tools that brought deliverance to the city were the decision of the lepers to go submit themselves to the enemies, perhaps their lives might be spared, but it turned out to be an unimaginable deliverance.
Their condition wasn't a limitation in as much as they're not limited in their thoughts. God will not move if a man is limited in his mind because it's all going to be a dead end.
An adage says, "a coward dies twice", that is, his fear paralyze and kill him first even before the real death comes."
What he's afraid of in the real sense won't kill him, but the fear alone has first paralyzed him, and the real death is inevitable.
Don't be afraid to take that move, but if you build on the fear, be sure that nothing is going to change; in fact, things will continually be getting worse.
Take the risk and you'll discover that what you're afraid of is also afraid of you, and it's nothing to withstand you, only if you move.
If help will come, then you must be on the move, because help can only locate those on the move and not those who have settled with complacency.
One of the greatest queens to ever live at the junction of making a decision which would either cost her her life or deliver her and her people, made this utterance, "if I perish, I perish", and behold, she took the decision and changed the narrative, becoming a prominent heroic figure.
YOU WON'T PERISH; ONLY MAKE THE MOVE, THEN YOU BECOME A HERO.
Lastly, A lazy person says, “A lion! Right outside! I will surely die in the streets! Yet another good reason to stay in today.” (Prov 22:13 - VOICE)
You've always been singing "what if..." as an excuse to draw back; what if it doesn't work out well, what if, what if..., have you also considered that "what if all that is required is your input and everything will turn out well as you desired" or "what if the limitation was only a mirage, only wanting you to come closer for it to disappear and give way unto your greatness"?
Don't just sit... there's a lot within you enough to make the change happen.
