              THE GIFTS OF THE WISE: 

     GOLD, FRANKINCENSE AND MYRRH.



 "Gold, as to a King; Frankincense, as to a God; Myrrh, as to one who was mortal"                                                         Origen(185-254AD)


    On this day of great essence in the redemption of human kind, I with you join the celestial and the terrestrial saying, "glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men". 

I come in the order of the bright and shinning Star as it was presented to Him, so am I presenting to you the gold, Frankincense and myrrh that you may understand the mystery these gifts and the season has brought unto us.


GOLD

   This reveals the royalty of Christ Jesus - who was and is to reign as King with the rod of iron and sceptre of truth and righteousness. In like manner as He made us(who believe in Him) kings unto God that we may reign upon the earth to subdue and dominate it, establishing and upholding His kingdom right here on earth with the sceptre of truth and righteousness. 


FRANKINCENSE

   This as well reveals His priesthood office as He is our great High Priest who was touched with the feeling of our infirmities and he ever live making intercession for us. As such as this, we are to bear one another's burden in the spirit of meekness and daily raise incence of prayer for them that are outside the fold.


MYRRH

   One of the agent of embalming reveals one of the hallmark of His coming - for in His death was He able to raise many sons unto glory becoming the Captain of our salvation. He died unto sin once but lives unto God forever. In same way, our fruitfulness and fulfillment in His kingdom comes through experiencing death by the effectual working of the Cross. Know that there's no resurrection unto a new life without the experience of death to the sinful nature, so as we have died with Him, we are also raised up with Him in glory that the flesh of sin no longer have a hold on us.


  In all, let this mind be in you as He has called you a ;

  • King - establishing God's kingdom everywhere you are by the power of Christ authority.
  • Priest - making intercession for all mankind as God seeks for a man to stand in the gap.
  • New Creature - dieing daily to put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created you.


   Finally, We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the Day Star arise in your hearts (2 Peter 1:19).

        A ll that surrounds the survival of humanity pushes us into running even without knowing what's setting us on a race, nor do we know how to run effectively, nor the end to which we're running. All we know is that we must run.   L eadership is a great responsibility that only those who have given themselves to be rightly prepared are truly fit to take up the task; hence, it's not a position for frivolity. We know there are various leaders, but here my references are to true leaders.
